SANEL Guide
What happens after you apply?
A realistic timeline from submission through document requests, eligibility review, interview and possible lease signing.
Silence is common
Large lotteries can take months to process. A lack of immediate contact does not by itself mean an application was rejected. Re-rentals and waitlists can move on very different timelines.
If the provider contacts you
- Read the request immediately and note the deadline.
- Submit exactly the documents requested.
- Keep copies of what you send.
- Respond to clarification requests promptly.
- Continue monitoring other opportunities until a lease is actually signed.
SANEL provides housing information and eligibility estimates for convenience. Housing providers and government agencies make final eligibility and application decisions.
